COMMERCIAL HEADQUARTERS - In Process

The site of a former tavern will be redeveloped with a new office and warehouse building for a local plumbing company. The project is going through the City of Seattle’s design review process, with significant attention being paid to how the project fits into the area. An early outreach process has yielded a number of public comments, and the initial design review packet is currently under review. This initial process is focused on the overall massing of the project, and omits details including windows. The new building is envisioned near the road to increase visibility of the building and limit the visibility of parking, while the massing was developed to limit its impact on the neighboring Vietnamese Cultural Center. Balconies, operable windows, and a roof deck off the top floor offices will provide occupants with access to fresh air during the workday. A selection of the design review packet is shown above.
